Dutch police have arrested a sixth suspect in connection with the kidnapping of a 49-year-old woman from Hoofddorp, who remains missing four days after she disappeared on her way to work.
Authorities said the latest suspect, a 29-year-old man from Beersel, Belgium, was detained in Beersel on Saturday. His arrest follows the detention of five other men: two 37-year-olds from Almere and three suspects aged 17, 20, and 24 from Rotterdam.
All six are suspected of involvement in the woman’s abduction. Police said the woman left her home in Hoofddorp on Wednesday morning to travel to her job in Beverwijk but never arrived. Her car was later found, but there has been no trace of her since.
Investigators released a photo of the missing woman on Friday in hopes the public can help locate her. Officers are asking residents in the area to check and submit any relevant footage from doorbell or security cameras that may aid the investigation.
