The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, housing the world's most important collection of works by the Group of Seven, has selected Hariri Pontarini Architects for its museum expansion and modernization.
The collection, featuring prominent Canadian and Indigenous art, will undergo a "transformative redevelopment" of its Kleinburg, Ontario campus.
This project, led by Toronto-based Hariri Pontarini Architects, marks the first major investment in the McMichael in over 40 years, as it is the only museum in Canada dedicated exclusively to Canadian art.
