Police Investigation into Kidnapping of Hoofddorp Woman
According to the police, the kidnapping of a 49-year-old woman from Hoofddorp is linked to a local drug trade dispute.
The woman, who remains missing, is believed to have been taken to "pressure" others involved in the dispute.
- A 29-year-old man from Beersel, Belgium, was recently arrested in connection with the case.
- Five other men were previously arrested, including two 37-year-olds from Almere and three men aged 17, 20, and 24 from Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
The woman was last seen leaving Mosselplaat in Hoofddorp in her car on her way to work at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, but she never arrived, and her vehicle was later found in the Getsewoud-Noord neighborhood of Nieuw-Vennep.
Police are working with investigators in other countries, but details of the collaboration are not being disclosed to protect the investigation.
