Warriors' Draymond Green Reportedly Shut Down Trade Talks
The Golden State Warriors champion had his reasons for not wanting the team to make the trade for Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen.
Markkanen, a 7-feet tall player who can stretch the floor, would seem like an ideal fit for the Warriors. However, according to ESPN's Anthony Slater, Draymond Green played a role in shutting down trade talks.
Green told Mike Dunleavy and Joe Lacob not to trade for Markkanen because of what Golden State would have had to give up.
The Warriors had been interested in trading for Markkanen over the past few years, but no trade ever came to light.
