President Mahama Announces New University and Hospital in Damongo
President John Dramani Mahama has announced that Damongo will host a Catholic Science and Technology University and a new regional hospital.
The two facilities will boost higher education and healthcare delivery in the northern sector and strengthen the government's commitment to expanding access to science, technology, and medical training.
The project forms part of my administration's broader vision of advancing education and innovation through strategic partnerships.
Initial funding for the proposed university will come from a grant promised by the President of China.
The announcement was made during a courtesy call by Most Reverend Philip Naameh, the Catholic Metropolitan Archbishop of Tamale, and his delegation at the Presidency in Accra.
