Power Mostly Restored in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley

A car crash on Saturday morning caused heavy damage to transformers, resulting in thousands of people losing power in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley.

According to Puget Sound Energy, over 5,400 customers were initially affected, but power has been mostly restored as of Saturday afternoon, October 25.

The Sedro-Woolley police stated that a motor vehicle crash around 7 a.m. at Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road likely led to the large power outage.

Power is estimated to be restored to the remaining customers around 2:30 p.m., according to PSE.
