Zohran Mamdani's Hesitation on Ballot Proposals
City Council candidate Zohran Mamdani has been evasive about his position on the ballot proposals, despite the potential impact on the City Council's power.
During the second mayoral debate, Mamdani stated:
I'm appreciative that those measures will be on the ballot and that New Yorkers will be able to cast their votes for them.
His opponents, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, criticized him for not taking a clear stance. Mamdani has since continued to decline to comment, but promises to announce his position soon.
