A big seventh inning gave the Arkansas baseball team the lead Saturday, and the Razorbacks’ superb defensive play took it from there to defeat Dallas Baptist 5-3 in an exhibition game at Baum-Walker Stadium.
Arkansas left fielder Brenton Clark robbed DBU catcher Mac Rose of a 2-run home run to end the top of the ninth inning to preserve the victory.
“Right when it was hit we knew it was going to go to the fence. We just didn’t know if it was quite going to get over it,”
Arkansas coach Dave Van Horn said. Clark, a redshirt freshman, timed his leap perfectly on the wind-aided ball that was launched toward the Patriots’ bullpen.
