PW Star Watch 2025 Finalist: Katy O’Donnell
Katy O’Donnell, editorial director of Haymarket Books, has successfully advanced the publisher's political mission, adjusting the publishing program to achieve two recent New York Times bestsellers and a 25% increase in sales.
Anthony Arnove, co-founder of Haymarket Books, praises O’Donnell, stating he never felt compelled to nominate anyone for Star Watch until working with her. O’Donnell was hired as senior editor in 2022 and quickly promoted to editorial director.
