A long-standing Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) centre is at risk of closure after 27 years due to financial pressures.
The RDA Unicorn Centre in Middlesbrough, established in 1998, offers activities such as riding, equine therapy, and volunteering for people with additional needs.
“Potential rescue proposals” are being explored in an attempt to save the centre.
The centre is facing closure due to "growing fundraising financial pressures", according to the trustees, who announced the decision on 1 October.
Note: The RDA Unicorn Centre is not affiliated with the Unicorn Equestrian Centre in Gloucestershire.
