Local Roundup: Fogarty Debuts in QMJHL

Sarnia forward Carter Fogarty made his debut with the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), recording an assist. The 17-year-old signed with the Voltigeurs after a strong start in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) with the Pickering Panthers.

He is a rapidly improving player who can play both ends of the ice, possesses a very strong work ethic and is highly competitive.

Voltigeurs general manager Yanick Lemay praised Fogarty, who was fifth in the OJHL scoring race with 14-15-29 totals in 15 games. Pickering Panthers general manager Sean Meyers also commended Fogarty, saying:

Carter has worked incredibly hard in Pickering since the first day of camp to get this opportunity. We are extremely proud of him and wish him all the best in Drummondville.
