Characters of Coolah Captured in Photographic Exhibition
Sydney photographer Allan Coker visited Coolah in April and was struck by the resilience and spirit of the people.
He wanted to capture this spirit, and his journey began in the summer of 2017 on a photographic trip back from Lightning Ridge.
Allan met Matilda "Tilly" Quera, a member of the Coolah Art Committee, at the Coolah Bakery, where he stopped for a coffee.
Allan was inspired by the people of Coolah and wanted to share their story.
The drought is a significant concern for those living in the Central West, but Coolah is feeling special thanks to Allan's photographic exhibition.
