Aeson Power Unveils Safer Sodium-Ion Batteries in Australia

Australian energy storage firm Aeson Power has launched its next-generation sodium-ion batteries at All Energy Australia 2025.

Following global success in automotive applications, Aeson’s polyanionic sodium-ion technology now targets off-grid, telecom and commercial sectors with three new systems: APSI2500, APSI2500-UPS and HaloDyne-HV.

Founded in 2015 and based in Melbourne, Aeson Power partners with Chinese battery manufacturer Xupai, leveraging over 30 years of experience and $1 billion in annual revenue.

Our goal has always been simple – to create a new battery choice built to Australian and New Zealand standards. If it can perform here, it can perform anywhere in the world.

Scott Clark, sales and marketing manager–Oceania, welcomed Aeson’s first national distributor, DPA, which has tested the sodium-ion batteries in real-world Australian conditions.
