A powerful coastal storm is expected to bring major flooding and wind gusts up to 60 mph to the Philadelphia region.
New Jersey has declared a state of emergency, effective 11 p.m. Saturday, due to the impending storm.
“It’s going to be bad,” said Paul Fitzsimmons, a lead meteorologist at the National Weather Service Office in Mount Holly. “It’s going to be a nasty, stormy ‘nor’easter’ ... lasting right into Monday.”
