High School Bands Shine at Moscow Competition
The Idaho Regional Championship, hosted by the University of Idaho's Kibbie Dome, brought together 14 marching bands from the Pacific Northwest.
The event, part of the Bands of America series, is organized by the nonprofit educational organization Music for All. According to Spencer Martin, director of the Vandal Marching Band, this is the second year the university has hosted the regional championship.
Local schools, including Lewiston and Clarkston, had a shorter commute to the competition. Band directors Brendan Burns and Alex Lardie noted that the event was a bittersweet but rewarding conclusion to the marching band season, showcasing their students' hard work.
