A new report by ESL Federal Credit Union reveals that most homeowners in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region plan to stay in their current homes.
The survey, conducted in the second quarter of 2025, gathered responses from approximately 300 residents across Monroe, Ontario, Livingston, and Seneca counties.
“We’re pleased to share the results of this survey giving us a clearer picture of homeowner sentiment through the voices of homeowners themselves,” said Jim Miller, vice president and director of mortgage lending at ESL.
The goal of the survey was to capture homeowner sentiment during a time of significant change in the housing market.
Author's summary: Homeowners in Finger Lakes remain settled.
