As Six Flags' Maryland location closes, longtime visitors bid farewell to the amusement park that held generations of memories.
The park's parent company, which manages over 40 amusement parks across North America, announced the closure of the sole Maryland location in May.
"We will feel its loss," said Lise Bruneau, a Washington, D.C. resident. "I feel it already."
Six Flags America and its water park, Hurricane Harbor, closed permanently on Sunday, drawing a crowd of all ages for a final day of reminiscing.
