Former Corinth Teacher to Plead Guilty to Child Sex Crime

A former Corinth school teacher, Wilson Jones, is set to plead guilty to a federal child sex crime charge.

He is expected to plead guilty in Oxford to possession of child pornography, facing up to 10 years in federal prison.

According to reports, Jones used artificial intelligence to create sexually explicit images of students without their knowledge.

School administrators discovered the crime, leading to Jones' resignation in November 2024.

Local law enforcement was notified of the crime in late February, resulting in Jones' arrest.

His former superintendent, Lee Childress, was also arrested and accused of failing to notify law enforcement, and was later fired by the Corinth School Board in March.

No comment from the school or the accused is available at this time.
