Philadelphia Art Museum's Director Ousted
Sasha Suda, the director and chief executive of the Philadelphia Art Museum (PAM), was removed from her role on November 4.
Suda had been in the position for three years, following a three-year stint as the head of the National Gallery of Canada.
According to Philadelphia Magazine, Suda was informed of her dismissal for "cause" via email, although the specific reason was not disclosed.
"As of today, director and chief executive Sasha Suda is no longer with the Philadelphia Art Museum,"
a museum spokesperson stated. Louis Marchesano, deputy director of curatorial affairs and conservation, will lead the museum's day-to-day operations while an interim director and chief executive are identified.
