ESPN Partners with DraftKings After Exiting PENN Deal

Just minutes after announcing the mutual termination of its exclusive U.S. online sports-betting agreement with PENN Entertainment, ESPN revealed a new multiyear partnership with DraftKings. Under this deal, DraftKings becomes ESPN’s Official Sportsbook and Odds Provider.

The ESPN BET sportsbook will be discontinued on December 1. Afterward, “ESPN BET” will evolve into a sports-betting content brand featuring integrated DraftKings Sportsbook elements across ESPN’s platforms. A comprehensive rollout is planned for 2026.

“Our betting approach has focused on offering an integrated experience within our products,” said ESPN Chairman Jimmy Pitaro. “Working with DraftKings, a leader in the space, will allow us to build upon that foundation, continue to serve our passionate sports fans, and grow our ESPN direct-to-consumer business. We are excited about this new collaboration with DraftKings.”

DraftKings will play a pivotal role across ESPN’s digital ecosystem, including powering the betting tab within the ESPN app. At launch, ESPN users will gain access to DraftKings’ sportsbook, daily fantasy, and the Pick6 platform. Additionally, ESPN’s customers will receive exclusive promotions tied to the recently introduced ESPN Unlimited direct-to-consumer service.
