Samira Wiley and Jin Ha Join Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle in Broadway's Proof
Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production will be directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha returns to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show will open at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.
Samira Wiley's Theatre and Television Career
- A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently appeared in the Donmar Warehouse production of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel in London.
- She also performed in the National Theatre’s Blues For An Alabama Sky and starred Off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
- On television, Wiley is known for playing Poussey Washington on Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black.
- She recently completed filming the final season of Hulu’s adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, earning the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama and three additional nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

- Ha debuted on Broadway in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M.
- In 2018, he appeared as Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, sharing a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
