Google Achieves Historic Quantum Computing Milestone
Google has announced a groundbreaking achievement in the field of quantum computing, successfully running a verifiable algorithm on a quantum computer for the first time in history.
The quantum version of the algorithm outperformed leading classical supercomputers by a factor of 13,000. This breakthrough brings Google closer to developing quantum computers that can drive significant discoveries in areas such as medicine and materials science.
“We have demonstrated the first-ever verifiable quantum advantage running the out-of-order time correlator (OTOC) algorithm, which we call Quantum Echoes,”
