The Seattle Kraken have quickly adapted to Lane Lambert’s system, collecting two-thirds of all possible points during their first twelve games. Jordan Eberle and Jaden Schwartz have also begun the season with strong performances, helping fuel the team’s consistent results.
When asked about the team's progress under Lambert, head coach Lane Lambert credited his players for fully embracing the system of play. Defenseman Vince Dunn emphasized how this collective accountability has improved the Kraken’s performance this season compared to previous years.
"I like the accountability most of all. From top to bottom, we're all in. No one is getting freebies throughout the year. All of the guys are being held accountable, myself included, all the way to guys who are coming in for their first [NHL] year. The expectations are always there — no excuses about road trips, travel, or anything else."
Dunn also noted that players clearly understand their roles on the ice and always know what is expected of them during games and practices.
"There's just no questions. I've never been in a game or practice this year where I'm like, ‘What are we doing here?’"
The emphasis on structure and predictability has strengthened the Kraken’s identity and made them a more confident, cohesive group early in the season.
The Kraken’s commitment to Lane Lambert’s disciplined system and shared accountability has transformed the team into a focused contender early in the season.
