A well-known leaker has provided a clearer comparison between the Galaxy S26 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Earlier leaked renders showed the S26 Ultra with a more rounded design compared to the S25 Ultra.
Tipster Ice Universe shared images and a video highlighting the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s updated design. The new model features noticeably rounder corners than the current S25 Ultra, which itself had softer edges than earlier Ultra models.
This design evolution is welcome, as previous Ultra models’ sharper edges sometimes caused discomfort and even damaged users' jeans pockets.
The leak also includes a side-by-side comparison with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. According to the images, Apple’s device will have even more rounded corners than Samsung’s S26 Ultra.
“I’m glad to see this trend continuing, as earlier Ultra phones dug into the palms of some users and actually resulted in torn jeans pockets.”
Summary: The Galaxy S26 Ultra will adopt a more rounded design than its predecessor, with a price hike likely and possible launch delays, while still featuring sharper edges than the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
