Channing Tatum, known for playing Gambit, is expressing great enthusiasm about Avengers: Doomsday, raising expectations for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next major release.
With much of Avengers: Doomsday still under wraps, Tatum aims to build excitement. He told Deadline:
"Look, everyone in the world is going to see this movie. It's hard to say this because, I mean, you hear these things and go, 'Of course'. But they've topped themselves every time. This will be the biggest movie of next year and maybe even the next 10 years."
Tatum credits his excitement to reading the early script and witnessing the film’s ambitious scope. He praised the directors, the Russos, for their impressive vision:
"The scope of it, what they're trying to do… what the Russos have cooked up – when I read it, I was just like, 'How are they going to do this?'. It was an Everest of a mountain to climb. I am still in awe."
Though Tatum suffered a hamstring injury filming one scene, he assures fans he was heavily involved in action sequences:
"I do so much action in this movie, but that was just a small part," he said, hinting that the X-Men, including Gambit, will be actively engaged throughout the film.
Channing Tatum believes Avengers: Doomsday will be a groundbreaking blockbuster, showcasing unprecedented scope and action within the Marvel Universe.
