Eyes are on the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Grammy category this year, which features leaders like Kendrick Lamar, Filipino-American Bruno Mars, Katseye, and songs from the musical films Wicked and KPop Demon Hunters.
Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter are competing for three of the top Grammy Awards next year, while other pop artists add excitement to the race. One standout is “Apt.,” a hit track by Blackpink member Rose and Bruno Mars.
"Rose becomes the first solo K-pop singer ever nominated for a Grammy, following groups like BTS and classical artists with individual credits."
Bruno Mars, who won his 16th Grammy last year for his collaboration with Gaga on "Die With A Smile" in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category, is nominated again with "Apt."
The category also boasts tracks from popular musicals: “Defying Gravity” from Wicked and “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters. The latter is a fan favorite, earning spots in the Song of the Year race and leading likely nominations for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
David Guetta's remix of “Golden” is nominated for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. In the film, “Golden” is performed by the fictional girl group Huntr/x, featuring the vocals of Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami.
This year's Grammy race for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance showcases diverse talents from mainstream and film music, highlighting groundbreaking nominations that reflect evolving global music trends.
