The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR against former Punjab Director General of Police Mohammad Mustafa, his wife and former minister Razia Sultana, and two others. They face charges of murder and criminal conspiracy related to the death of their son, Aqil Akhtar, aged 35.
Aqil Akhtar was found dead on October 16 in his residence located in Sector 4, near the Mansa Devi Mandir, Panchkula, Haryana. The CBI initiated the FIR on November 6 based on allegations that his death involved suspicious circumstances.
