Hydro One Selects AtkinsRéalis for Bowmanville Substation Expansion
AtkinsRéalis Group Inc. (TSX: ATRL), an engineering services and nuclear company with global offices, has been chosen by Hydro One Networks Inc. for a multi-year Owner's Engineer role.
Project Overview
The project involves expanding the Bowmanville Switching Station, located opposite the Darlington Nuclear Generating Station in Ontario. This expansion is crucial for connecting the electricity grid to four planned Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) by Ontario Power Generation (OPG) at the nearby Darlington New Nuclear Project site.
