Rumors about Chris Paul retiring might be premature. The Clippers' guard remains passionate, active, and a vital mentor for the Los Angeles team.
Earlier this summer, speculation circulated that Paul would sign with the Clippers and possibly retire after this season. The veteran point guard, with 21 years of experience, mentioned in an interview with Jemele Hill that he was considering playing only one more year.

However, recent statements suggest the decision is not yet finalized. In an interview with Andscape, Paul stated:
“No. I’m just saying all this stuff is part of my decision-making in my thought process. For me, I’m going to keep playing it by ear and see what it looks like.”
John Collins shared how Chris Paul constantly motivates him:

Before leaving the Clippers locker room, Paul spent several minutes with Kobe Brown and Jordan Miller, going over observations from the night’s game.

The Warriors began the 2025-26 season facing significant challenges.
Despite speculation, Chris Paul's retirement remains uncertain as he stays deeply engaged with the Clippers and continues to mentor younger players.
