Steven McNamara, a Clonmel native, has taken on the role of head chef at Bodega 1830, a trendy tapas restaurant and wine bar in Clonmel.
McNamara, who previously worked as head chef at Fota Restaurant in Cork, returned to Bodega 1830 in August, bringing his passion for food to the restaurant.
There is nowhere like this in Clonmel. There is a great vibe here and I want to match the food with that vibe.
As head chef, McNamara aims to put his own stamp on the restaurant's eclectic menu of tapas dishes and contribute to its growing reputation.
