During the Los Angeles world premiere of the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer, alongside director and executive producer Shawn Levy, responded to viral claims involving actors Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour.
The online report suggested that Brown had accused Harbour of on-set bullying and harassment. However, both actors appeared friendly as they posed together on the red carpet, showing no sign of tension.
“Obviously, you understand I can’t get into personal on-set matters, but I will say we’ve been doing this for 10 years with this cast, and at this point they’re family and we deeply care about them. So, you know, nothing matters more than just having a set where everyone feels safe and happy.”
Ross Duffer emphasized the long-standing bond among the cast and crew and the importance of maintaining a positive, safe working environment.
“At the end of the day, that’s the job. You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe, and so we did everything to build that environment. And we’re proud of the fact that we did so.”
Levy also dismissed rumors about the situation as “wildly inaccurate,” reaffirming the show’s commitment to respect and professionalism on set.
The statements came amid a press tour running since Monday, during which Netflix reportedly sought to avoid discussion of the viral allegations.
The Stranger Things team stood united at the premiere, rejecting online rumors and highlighting their commitment to a safe and supportive set where the cast functions like a family.
