Jennifer Lawrence, the Academy Award-winning actress known for The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook, revealed her belief in ghosts and recounted spooky encounters in New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina.
During an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast with hosts Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers, Lawrence described several unsettling experiences while filming the 2022 movie Causeway in New Orleans.
She mentioned moving three times during the shoot before settling in a hotel. One day, as she lay in bed, she heard a housekeeper enter her room. The housekeeper apologized for waking her and quietly left. Later, Lawrence realized that her door had been deadbolted, making entry impossible.
"I don't know, I just come from a world where we believe women," Lawrence told Rogers when questioning if she might have been dreaming.
The hotel incident was not Lawrence’s only eerie experience in New Orleans. While staying at a local house during filming, she was watching TV alone when she noticed kitchen doors repeatedly slamming open and shut by themselves.
