The Lexington Police Department confirmed that a man died following a shooting on Centre Parkway in Lexington on Friday afternoon. The incident, initially reported as a shooting with critical injuries, has been officially classified as a homicide.
Officers arrived at the scene around 3 p.m. in the 1100 block of Centre Parkway, where they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. The man was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries, as pronounced by the Fayette County Coroner.
