Dame Helen Mirren will be honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award during the Golden Globes' new primetime event, “Golden Eve,” airing on Thursday, January 8, prior to the Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday, January 11. The special will be broadcast on CBS and streamed on Paramount+.
The three-time Golden Globe recipient, as well as an Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Award winner, joins a distinguished list of honorees recognized for their lifetime contributions to film and entertainment since the award’s creation in 1952. “Golden Eve” will also spotlight the recipient of the Carol Burnett Award, who has not yet been announced, marking the beginning of the festivities leading up to the 83rd annual Golden Globes.

Spanning over six decades across film, television, and stage, Mirren’s career has made her one of the most respected figures in the performing arts. She has earned Golden Globe Awards for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II in Stephen Frears’ “The Queen,” and for her TV performances in “Elizabeth I” and “Losing Chase.”
