All-New Toyota Hilux Debuts Globally with All-Electric Powertrain
Toyota has unveiled the ninth-generation Hilux, introducing an all-electric powertrain for the first time. The company also confirmed a hydrogen fuel-cell electric version, set to arrive in 2028. Alongside the electric model, the Hilux retains the reliable 2.8-litre diesel engine combined with a 48V mild-hybrid system.
Design Overhaul and Features
The new Hilux has undergone a significant redesign, aligning its style with the latest Toyota Land Cruiser SUV. At the front, it features sleek LED headlights with integrated daytime running lights (DRLs) and a bold, closed grille displaying the prominent ‘TOYOTA’ lettering.
